White Sauce for Gingerbread Cake
1 cup white sugar
2 tbsp flour
1 cup water
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
In a sauce pan, bring water, butter and vanilla to a rolling
boil, then add sugar and flour slowly so it doesn't get lumpy. I
use a whisk. Then simmer it till it thickens. Serve hot or warm
over your warm gingerbread cake.
