- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine or balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp prepared mustard, Dijon suggested
- 1 tbsp minced red onion or scallion
- 1 minced garlic clove (or 2)
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- finely chopped fresh herbs to taste:
- Whisk together all ingredients.
- Refrigerate for flavors to meld, or use as a marinade.
