Don’t use if you have bleeding conditions or ulcers. It also thins the blood better than aspirin. So the next time you’re in the produce section of your local supermarket grab some. It should be firm and knobby with no soft spots. Avoid old wrinkled pieces. I like to look for it at farmers market’s where it is very fresh and smells so great, kind of like lemon. Also Oriental markets and Indian grocers carry it. Store in a cool dry place like you would garlic or refrigerate if you prefer.
