About Thai chile Edit

A general term for tiny chilies which are extremely pungent and spicy. Sometimes used to describe Thai chilies which are, paradoxically, Mexican in origin.

Many types are used in Thai cooking, fresh and dried, whole and ground; the smallest and hottest is birds eye; dried red chilies are popular. They are used in Southeast Asian cooking, are intensely hot, fresh, red or green chiles that are under 1 inch (2.5 cm) in length.
