Ingredients Edit

• 1½ cups flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 3 tbsp butter or margarine
• 1 tbsp vanilla
• 1 tbsp white vinegar
• 1 cup cold water

Directions Edit

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Grease cupcake tin or line cups with paper liners.
3. Sift dry ingredients together in bowl.
4. Add remaining ingredients.
5. Mix well.
6. Pour mixture into cupcake tins, evenly distributed between 8 cupcakes.
7. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until cupcakes spring back when touched lightly.
8. Cool on wire rack.
9. Frost with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting, if desired.
