- 4 hard-cooked eggs
- about 1½ tbsp chopped ham, tongue, anchovy fillets, or smoked salmon
- 1 tsp butter
- 3 tbsp grated cheese

- Peel the eggs and halve lengthwise.
- Carefully remove the yolks and combine with the remaining ingredients.
- Stuff the egg whites with the mixture.
