  1. Peel and slice one very green, medium sized papaya.
  2. There should be about two cups of fruit.
  3. Drop it into rapidly boiling salted water.
  4. Simmer for about one-half hour, or until fruit is tender.
  5. Drain well. An excellent side dish to stews.
  6. Add: 1 Tbsp butter, dash of nutmeg.
