- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 cups granulated beet Sugar
- 1 cup soy “egg” nog (Whitewave’s Silk Nog is a great brand if you can find it)
- Sifted powdered sugar and ground nutmeg
Alternately add flour mixture and eggnog, beating till well mixed. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Working with 1/2 the dough, on a floured surface roll rounded tablespoons into pencil like strips (8 inches long and 1/2 inch thick) form into pretzel shapes.
