  1. Heat butter in pan.
  2. Add finely chopped bacon and finely chopped basil, cook until bacon is tender.
  3. Drain.
  4. Put bacon in blender or food processor, blend until fine.
  5. Add cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, sherry, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  6. Blend until smooth.
  7. Add smoked oyster spread, blend until well combined.
  8. Spoon into serving dish, refrigerate overnight.
