- 1 ripe medium California avocado, seeded and peeled
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh dill
In a medium bowl, with a fork, mash avocado (similar to the way the Padres homerun hitters mash the Braves pitching staff).
Cover and chill briefly.
For each sandwich, spread about 2 tablespoons on slices of Rye or whole Wheat bread and add your choice of fillings such as sliced Turkey, tomato and lettuce, or serve as a spread on crackers, bagel crisps or small party breads while you cheer on your Padres!
