  1. Cut squid into rings or strips.
  2. Cook onion, green pepper, and garlic in hot oil until tender.
  3. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasonings.
  4. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add squid.
  6. Cover and simmer for approximately 5 minutes longer or until squid is tender.
  7. Serve over cooked pasta.

Note Edit

For variety, substitute cleaned shrimp, or shucked drained clams.
