Savory Lamb Patties

Serves 4

1 lb lean ground lamb

1 C freshly made dry bread crumbs

� t salt

� t freshly ground pepper

� C finely chopped celery

2 t Worcestershire sauce

� t rosemary, crumbled

2 tomatoes, peeled, seeded, & chopped fine

1 egg, slightly beaten

2 T shortening

Combine the lamb, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, celery, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, tomatoes, and egg in a large bowl. Mix together and shape into six patties. Melt the shortening in a skillet and fry the patties over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side or until brown and cooked as desired.
