Salisbury Steak With Onion Gravy

  • 1 Can Condensed Onion Soup, Undiluted (10.5 Oz)
  • 1 1/2 Lb. Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Cup Fine Dry Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, Slightly Beaten
  • 1/4 T. salt

Dash pepper

  • 1 T. flour
  • 1/4 Cup Catsup[
  • 1 T. Worcestershire
  • 1/2 T. Prepared mustard


Mix 1/3 Cup of Sour With Beef, bread Crumbs, egg, salt And pepper. Shape Into 6 Oval Patties. in Large Skillet, Cook Patties Until Browned on Both Sides. Drain or Spoon Off Fat. in Medium Bowl, Gradually Blend Together The Remaining Soup And flour Until Smooth. Stir in The Catsup, water, Worcestershire And mustard. Pour Mixture Over Patties in Pan. Stir to Loosen Any Brown Bits. Cover. Cook Over Low Heat 20 Minutes or Until Meat is Cooked Through. Stir Occasionally. Serve Patties Topped With Gravy.
