TANZANIAN SPICE CAKE

Ingredients

• 1/2 CUP butter
• 1 1/2 CUPS Sugar
• 4 eggs, SEPARATED
• 3 CUPS flour
• 1 TEASPOON baking powder
• 1 TEASPOON GROUND CLOVES
• 1 TEASPOON cinnamon
• 1/2 TEASPOON nutmeg
• 1 CUP milk
• 2/3 CUP GRATED semi-sweet chocolate

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350F
2. cream together butter and Sugar.
3. Add egg yolks.
4. Sift together dry ingredients.
5. Mix with the butter mixture alternately with the milk.
6. Add the chocolate.
7. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
8. Fold into the batter.
9. Bake in a tube pan.
