- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cup Gold Medal all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 each eggs
- 48 each Miniature marshmallows

1 Heat oven to 400 degrees. 2 Heat margarine and ½ cup of the chocolate chips in 1 qt. saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted; remove from heat and cool. 3 Mix remaining chocolate chips, the melted chocolate mixture and remaining ingredients except marshmallows. 4 Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. 5 Press 1 marshmallow in center of each bake about 8 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched. 6 Immediately remove from cookie sheet. 7 Cook on wire rack. 8 Makes about 4 dozen cookies. 9 Gold medal cookies and bars cookbook
