  1. Melt the butter.
  2. Add the molasses, sugar and eggs.
  3. Beat well.
  4. Mix together flour, soda, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
  5. Sift dry ingredients well before mixing to molasses mixture.
  6. Refrigerate the dough for several hours.
  7. Break off pieces of the dough and roll into small balls.
  8. Roll the balls in sugar.
  9. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
