Rivel Supp

This is a warm and comforting soup if your stomach is a little queasy, or if you've just had all your teeth out. It's also good for the sick and the very young. 4 cups milk 1 large egg 1 cup flour 1/2 t. salt

While you are heating the milk and salt over water in a double boiler, beat egg. add the flour and mix them with 2 knives, then with your hands until the mixture form lumps the size of cherry stones. Let these rivels fall lightly into the hot milk. Keep the milk over the boiling water for 5 minutes, until rivels are blended with the milk. It will be thick and nourishing. Source: My Old Recipes
