Chickpeas from Sifnos island. A Traditional dish from Sifnos, cooked on Sundays. The chickpeas are baked into the oven for many hours until they become soft.

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight, or at least for 5 – 6 hours.
  2. Place them into a heat-proof crock–pot and add the salt and the olive oil.
  3. Cover and bake them for hours in 250°C.
  4. Serve with lemon.
