This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pryor estate in Grapevine, Texas in 1996.

  1. Sear roast in tablespoon oil on all sides in heavy dutch oven.
  2. Pour sauce over meat.
  3. Put half of onions on meat and the other half in sauce.
  4. Cover and roast 5 hours at 325 °F.
