  1. Cream butter with the ½ cup of powdered sugar.
  2. Add vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, pecans and salt.
  4. Then add flour mixture to butter mixture, form dough, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  6. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake in 325°F oven 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned.
  8. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
  9. Cool on wire racks.
