Pickled Cranberries

1 cup sugar 1 cup water 1/2 cup red wine vinegar 1 T. whole pickling spice 4 cups cranberries (1 lb.)

In a 2 quart non aluminum pan, combine sugar, water, vinegar, and pickling spice and bring to boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add cranberries and return to boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Cool, then chill cranberries in syrup. Makes about 3 cups. Source: Unknown
