4 beaten eggs 2 cups milk 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup brandy 12 slices (1 inch thick) French bread Cooking oil Honey or maple syrup
combine eggs, milk, sugar and brandy in a shallow bowl; stir together well. Dip one slice of bread at a time into the egg mixture, soaking bread in mixture about 30 seconds on each side. Cook bread slices in a large skillet or on a griddle in a small amount of hot oil for 2 to 3 minute son each side or until brown. Pass honey or syrup. Serves 4 Source: Unknown
