Mom Marcon's French Dressing
1 1/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup vinegar 3/4 cup water 1/3 cup salad oil 1 cup or more catsup Salt to taste 1/2 medium onion, diced 2 garlic cloves (and a little garlic salt if desired)
