1 lb beef (ground) 500 g
� C onion (minced) 60 ml
� C celery (minced) 60 ml
1 egg (well beaten) 1
� t bay leaf (finely crushed) 2 ml
Salt & pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir to blend thoroughly. Shape into 50 meatballs. Fry in skillet until brown; roll to turn. Place in shallow dish. Bake at 350�F (175�C) for 20 minutes. Drain. Place on hot serving platter or chafing dish.
Microwave: cook on High for 4 to 5 minutes. Drain. Place on hot serving platter or chafing dish.
Yield: 50 meatballs
