  1. Wash the barley and soak about 2-4 hours.
  2. Put into a pot together with the soak water and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook at a low temperature.
  4. When the barley is soft add the butter and milk.
  5. Season with salt and then for few minutes.
  6. Serve as a first dish or with jam as a dessert.
