Michigan's Hot Mulled Apple Cider

1/2 c brown sugar 1 gal Michigan apple cider 1/2 tsp salt 4 cinnamon sticks 1 tbsp whole cloves 1 tbsp allspice

 Place all spices in sm cheesecloth bag. Drop bag into pot containing all other mixed ingredients. Heat, using Corning or Pyrex pot; simmer 20 min. Serve in big mug with a cinnamon stick to stir!
