IngredientsEdit

MAHOGANY CHICKEN THIGHS

SPICY HONEY BASTE

  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder


CHICKEN WITH ORZO

  • 12 skinless chicken thighs, bone in
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pound uncooked orzo
  • 3 tbs butter
  • 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley leaves, chopped

DirectionsEdit

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Line a 15X10 inch jelly roll pan with foil. Coat foil with cooking spray.

SPICY HONEY BASTE

  1. In bowl, whisk together all ingredients.

CHICKEN WITH ORZO

  1. Brush the chicken with the baste.
  2. Roast chicken 40 min. or until done.
  3. Brush chicken with baste twice during cooking.In a saucepan, combine 3 quarts of water, bouillon, and 1/2 tsp salt. Bring to a boil. Add the orzo, cook following package directions. Drain the orzo.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl. Add the butter, parsley and remaining salt, toss to mix.
  5. Serve with the chicken.
