Legendary Delta Chocolate Pie
Crust: 18 graham crackers, crumbled 91 1/2 cups) 1/2 cup butter, melted Filling: 1 1/2 cups butter (no substitutes) 2 1/4 cups sugar 3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted 3 t. vanilla 6 eggs 1 pint whipped cream Pecans or almonds for top of whipped cream
combine crust ingredients and press into 2 (9 inch) pans. Let set. With mixer, beat butter until fluffy; add sugar, and continue to beat. Add melted chocolate and vanilla. continue to beat. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 3 minutes after each. Pour over crust. Chill and top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with nuts and finely shaved sweet chocolate. Chill thoroughly. Makes 10 to 12 servings. Source: Pass It On Note: This recipe has eggs that are incorporated into the melted chocolate. I don't know if this would cook the eggs enough. Anyone have an ideas about this? L
