  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F.
  2. Combine the cream cheese, sugar, and salt; beat until smooth.
  3. Add egg and vanilla, beating well after each.
  4. Spoon mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  5. Sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Combine 3 eggs, corn syrup, remaining sugar, and vanilla; beat well.
  7. Pour this mixture over pecans.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set.
