  1. Beat sugar and margarine together; blend in eggs.
  2. Peel and dice kiwifruit.
  3. Cook diced kiwifruit in small amount of water until heated thoroughly.
  4. Add enough water to make 1¼ cups fruit and cool.
  5. Sift dry ingredients together.
  6. Stir kiwifruit and cherries into sugar mixture.
  7. Blend dry ingredients into kiwifruit mixture.
  8. Pour batter into well-oiled and floured loaf pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F for one hour or until bread test done.
  10. Cool in pan for 5 minutes; then invert onto wire rack.
  11. Slice thin when serving.
