This is delicious with roasts and steaks. Nice company side dish.


Directions Edit

  1. Cook onions in boiling water to cover for 10 – 12 minutes until tender but firm.
  2. At the same time, melt butter in saucepan; remove.
  3. Blend flour, salt and pepper; slowly stir in milk and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cook until boils and thickens (1 minute boil).
  5. Stir in cheese; low heat until melted.
  6. Pour over onions and stir.
  7. Arrange bread cubes around edge.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
