Caraway dabbage

Ingredients Edit

• 1½ pounds shredded cabbage
• 2 eggs
• 2 tablespoons butter
• ½ cup milk
• ½ cup cream
• ½ teaspoon salt
• white pepper — to taste
• 1 teaspoon caraway seed

Directions Edit

1. Cover the cabbage with cold water.
2. Chill 2 hours. Drain.
3. Cover with boiling water and simmer 5 minutes. Drain well.
4. Combine the rest of the ingredients lightly with the cabbage.
5. Bake in a buttered baking dish 30 to 40 minutes in a preheated 350ºF oven, or until browned on top.
