This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Howell Estate in Canton, Texas in 1981.

  1. Mix together beans, molasses, mustard, chili sauce, bourbon and coffee then let stand for 3 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 300°F and bake beans for 30 minutes.
  3. Add pineapple and brown sugar and bake for another 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile fry bacon until crisp then drain well and crumble.
  5. Serve beans garnished with the bacon.
