This extremely easy-to-make sauce uses only a handful of ingredients. Serve with warm crusty bread, a mixed green salad and a drink for a satisfying meal.

  1. Heat oil in large skillet.
  2. Add sausage; cook, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink.
  3. Drain.
  4. Add bell pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender.
  5. Reduce heat to low.
  6. Stir in tomatoes; cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes or until flavors are blended.
  7. Prepare pasta according to package directions.
  8. Top with sauce; sprinkle with cheese.

To freeze ahead Edit

  1. Prepare as above; do not prepare pasta.
  2. Cover; freeze for up to 2 months.
  3. Thaw overnight in refrigerator.
  4. Heat in medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  5. Prepare pasta according to package directions.
  6. Top with sauce; sprinkle with cheese.
