The sweet alternative to the unsalted peanuts - this honey-based peanut recipe has a golden secret: honey. But you can serve the sweet peanuts with other desserts or snacks if you want, while it then keeps a succulent aroma with the honey.

  1. Preheat oven to 300° F.
  2. Combine water and honey (or sugar) in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, and stir until honey (or sugar) is dissolved, to make a syrup.
  3. Add peanuts. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring regularly, until peanuts are evenly coated, and no syrup is left in pan.
  4. Spread nuts out on baking sheets. Bake at 300° F for about 30 minutes to 1 hour until honey (or sugar) is completely dried.
  5. Gently stir the peanuts a few times while baking.
  6. Remove from oven and place on paper towels, let cool, and store in airtight containers.
