The first dorsal fin is small, high and pointed which may be spinous; the second dorsal fin runs along the rest of the back and merges with the tail and extensive anal fin. The scales are small. This species is usually found living just above the bottom of the ocean. They swim slowly over the sea bed searching for live prey, as well as carcasses to eat. This fish is an predator and sometimes swalows its prey. It lives by feeding itself with smaller fish and carcasses.it has a sendy color with big brown eyes and the anal fin has a redish color. It has a long strip from the eyes till the tail. This kind of fish has unique muscles attached to them.
