Ingredients Edit

  • 4 medium potatoes (1¼ lbs)
  • ¼ cup (½ stick) butter, softened
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Directions Edit

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Grease 1½ quart round casserole.
  3. Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
  4. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Layer potatoes in casserole.
  6. Pour cream over potatoes; cover.
  7. Bake 1 hour.
  8. Uncover and bake until potatoes are tender and cream is absorbed.
