Ingredients[]
- 1 box German Chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecans ( optional )
- 1 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 stick butter softened
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Directions[]
- Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9 x 13 cake pan.
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions and add nuts if using.
- Pour into prepared pan
- Blend cream cheese and butter till smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and coconut. (This mixture will be very thick)
- Drop by teaspoon on top of unbaked cake til mixture is all used up.
- Bake for 40 - 45 minutes.

The cake batter rises and the cream cheese mixture settles on the bottom.
