- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tbl Onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons whiskey
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon demerera sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 Ham steaks
Lightly brush Ham steaks with melted butter. Remove fat from the edges. Grill for 8 minutes on each side. For the sauce, fry onions in butter until cooked. Turn off heat and then gradually stir in flour. Add water. Turn on heat. Add Sugar and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes to cook flour. Add more water if sauce looks a little thick. Add whiskey and seasoning. Serve Ham steaks on platter and drizzle with brown sauce.
