  1. In a large bowl, mix the cornstarch, flour, sugars, baking powder and almonds with beaten eggs, melted butter, melted chocolate in 2 – 3 spoonsful of water and the rum.
  2. Work the mixture into a smooth dough.
  3. Put into a cake pan and bake in a medium over for about 45 minutes.
  4. Remove the warm cake from the pan, and once cooled, glaze with the apricot preserves.
