Fried Apple Tarts

Description[]

These crispy, golden-brown tarts are made bursting with real apples.

Ingredients[]

Directions[]

  1. Mix eggs, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  2. Add oil and milk and stir well.
  3. Mix with flour, one cup at a time. Knead well until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into ten pieces. Roll out each piece into a circle.
  5. Place two to three heaping tablespoons of apple slices in center of each round.
  6. Fold over and crimp edges with a fork.
  7. Deep fry until golden-brown in a preheated pan of oil.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
