Directions Edit

  1. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, which have been beaten.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  4. Stir in flavorings.
  5. Spoon mixture into prepared 10 inch tube pan and bake at 325°F for 1½ hours or until it tests done.
  6. Add glaze if desired.
  7. Cool in pan about 10 minutes before turning out.

Six-flavored glaze Edit

  1. Combine ingredients in heavy saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil, stir until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour on one half of the glaze while cake is still hot.
  4. Pour the rest after it has cooled a bit.
