Halibut steak Acadian-style

  1. Season halibut steaks with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Dip in beaten egg and saute in a hot skillet with melted butter 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove to a serving plate and keep warm.
  4. Add shrimp to pan with capers and lemon juice.
  5. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, scraping pan and stirring well.
  6. Spoon sauce and shrimp over halibut steaks and garnish with lemon wedges.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
