Meatballer

Meatball maker

A kitchen utensil, also known as a meatballer, that forms small portions of seasoned ground meat into round balls. The meatballer enables the ball to be become uniform in size and consistent in shape for meatball dishes, eliminating the need to manually form and shape the meatball. The utensil has scissor-like handles with two half cups, attached to the handles, that hold and shape the ground meat. A traditional size for meatballs is approximately 1¾ inches in diameter. When using a meatball maker, the ground meat may have a tendency to stick to the cups that hold the meat. To help prevent this from happening, dip the cups of the utensil in a bowl of water to keep them moist and non-sticking to the ground meat. Meatballs can be served as an appetizer, as part of the main course of a meal, or they can be added to another dish to be combined with noodles or pasta.
