  • whole figs ripe and ready for cooking
  • sugar, granulated—approximately ½ the amount of figs.


  1. Wash and remove stems from figs.
  2. Using twice as many figs as sugar, simmer until desired thickness.
  3. Pack into sterilized jars and seal with sterilized lids.
