Egg Coffee for a Crowd

Ingredients

• 8 Quarts & 1/2 Cup of cold water
• 3 cups ground coffee
• 3 eggs
• Cheesecloth

Instructions

1. Heat 8 quarts cold water to boiling in a large coffee pot.
2. Let water boil 2 minutes.
3. Put 1 cup ground roast coffee and 1 egg in the center of a square of cheesecloth.
4. Bring up edges and tie cloth tightly around coffee and egg.
5. Make 2 more coffee and egg bags.
6. Break eggs in cheesecloth bags.
7. Using hands, muddle egg together with the coffee.
8. Drop sacks of egg moistened coffee into boiling water.
9. Boil 4 minutes.
10. Remove coffee bags and discard.
11. Add 1/2 cup cold water to settle the grounds.

Notes

Makes 32 Cups of coffee.
