Easy Baked Cheese Fondue
1 cup fresh bread crumbs 1 cup milk, warmed 1 cup grated cheese (4 oz) 2 T. butter, melted Salt and cayenne pepper to taste 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten 1 egg white, beaten to stiff peaks Parmesan cheese for topping
Soak bread crumbs in milk. Stir in cheese, butter, salt and cayenne. Add beaten egg yolk. Fold in stiffly beaten egg white. Pour mixture into a well buttered casserole. sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 for 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Note: Use any full flavored cheese for this dish..Swiss, Cheddar, Blue veined or a combination. Source: Unknown
