- 1 cup Sugar
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup dates, pitted, chopped
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- powdered sugar
Directions[]
Slowly add Sugar to eggs and beat well. Add flour, sifted with salt and baking powder, and beat until smooth. Stir in vanilla, and add dates and pecans. Pour into 9 x 13 in. pan lined with greased waxed paper. Bake in 350 deg. Oven about 30 minutes. while warm, cut into 1 x 4 bars and roll in powdered sugar. Store in air-tight container. Better if left to season for several weeks
