• 4 large eggs
• ½ cup Sugar
• 2-1/2 cups milk
• ½ cup heavy whipping cream
• 1/4-teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon unsalted butter

[edit] Directions

1. Break eggs into large bowl.
2. Add Sugar, milk, cream, salt and vanilla.
3. Beat lightly with whisk to mix well.
4. Gently place Apples in a buttered casserole and pour custard around them.
5. Place casserole in a pan surrounded with hot water half way up sides.
6. Bake in 300 oven for 50 minutes.
