CUCUMBERS IN SOUR CREAM This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Novell Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1982. 3 large cucumbers peeled and sliced 1 red onion thinly sliced 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup white vinegar 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper Layer cucumbers and onion slices separated into rings alternately in a glass bowl. Combine sour cream, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper then stir until blended and smooth. Pour over cucumbers and onion rings then cover and refrigerate for 6 hours tossing occasionally.
